President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić he rejected the claims today representatives of the student movement that they were bugged, judging that such allegations are "stupid and meaningless" and that no evidence was offered for them.
Vučić, during his visit to Rusko Selo, told reporters that he himself had been bugged in the past, including the period when he was one of the most prominent opposition leaders.
"In this country, I was eavesdropped when I was a key opposition leader, by listening to me through four or five 'hooks'. Did I make scenes, persecute someone in BIA after that? No," said Vučić.
He added that, as he claims, there was illegal wiretapping against him even after he became the president of Serbia, but that he did not take radical steps then.
"They did that illegally even when I became president. I kept quiet, said two or three sentences and that's it," said the Serbian president.

Speaking about the representatives of the student movement, Vučić said that he does not know them personally and that, as he stated, "they do not mean anything to him", except as citizens of Serbia, whom he is obliged to take care of as the president of the country.
He repeated that he considers their claims about wiretapping to be baseless and assessed that these people, as he said, "know nothing except to attract the attention of foreign intelligence agencies."
Vučić also said that he followed the student conference, but only for a few minutes.
"I watched for six minutes and I was sad," he said.

The President of Serbia stated that, according to his impression, he concluded from the very space where the conference was held that non-governmental organizations were included in the organization.

He also assessed that his political opponents were "doing work for someone else", without specifying who he was referring to.
Vučić said that he expected the students to present a specific plan and program related to the future of Serbia.
"I thought that they would come out with a plan and program for Serbia when it comes to people, not just the non-governmental sector," said the President of Serbia.
