This is also the case in Tsar Nikolaja Street in Belgrade, and cars passing by are honking en masse as a sign of support.
The queue in Tsar Nikolaja Street stretched around the corner, into the neighboring street, as far as the eye could see.
Long lines in Kragujevac too
Citizens Kragujevac and on Sunday, they come in large numbers to sign their support for the Student List. The collection of signatures was organized at two locations in the city, and among those waiting are citizens who, due to the long queues, did not manage to get their turn yesterday.
In the city center, at 22 Kralja Petra Prvo Street, signatures are collected until 20 p.m. The same term applies to the location at 48 Kneza Mihajila Street, where a long line started to form around 10 a.m., since signatures are certified by only one public notary, FoNet announced.
At that location, the citizens who, after waiting for several hours the previous day, were unable to sign until closing time at 20 p.m. created an additional crowd. The organizers gave them papers with serial numbers, so today they had an advantage when it came to their turn.
Despite the length of the line, the atmosphere among the citizens waiting on the sidewalk is relaxed. The organizers, students of the University of Kragujevac, asked the crowd not to occupy the road in order to avoid disrupting traffic on one of the city's busiest roads.
Support for citizens who are waiting also comes from drivers. As on the previous day, the drivers of cars, buses, trucks and tow trucks pass by the convoy and greet the crowd with sirens, to which the citizens respond with shouts of "pump, pump" and "students are winning".
The Student List candidate, dramatist Željko Hubač, announced earlier that the list will be submitted to the Republic Election Commission (REC) on Monday afternoon, when all the names of the candidates should be known.
