Press Office of the Foreign Intelligence Service Russian Federation (SVR) reports that, according to information received by SVR, Serbian defense companies, contrary to "neutrality" announced by the official Belgrade, continue to supply Kiev ammunition.
"The Serbian defense industry is trying to shoot Russia in the back," the SVR agency said in a statement.
As a cover for anti-Russian activities, he uses a simple scheme with fake certificates of the end user and intermediary countries, the SVR states on its website.
"Among those countries, NATO members are most often mentioned, primarily the Czech Republic, Poland and Bulgaria. Lately, exotic variants have also been engaged for this purpose, with the participation of African countries," the SVR states.
Grenades, howitzers, bullets
The contribution of the Serbian defense industry to the war, which, as stated in the announcement, was initiated by the West and whose outcome Europe would like to see as a "strategic defeat" of Russia, amounts to hundreds of thousands of shells for the multi-barrel rocket and howitzer launch system, as well as a million bullets for small arms.
"Such deliveries can hardly be justified by 'humanitarian reasons'. They have only one obvious purpose - to kill and maim Russian soldiers and civilians," the statement of the Foreign Intelligence Service harshly assesses.
A "conveyor belt of death" for profit
As stated, the largest companies of the domestic defense industry, including Jugoimport SDPR, Zenitprom, Krušik, Sofag, Rayer DTI, Sloboda, Prvi Partizan and others, are participating in the "transportation 'death lane' organized in Russia, which is friendly to Serbia."
"It seems that the desire of the Serbian arms manufacturers and their patrons to enrich themselves on the blood of the brotherly Slavic peoples has made these people completely forget who are their true friends and who are their enemies," the SVR said.
Moscow's help to Serbia in moments of crisis
This Russian service states that Moscow repeatedly came to the aid of the Serbs in, as they point out, the most critical moments of their history.
"Whether it was the liberation of Serbia from the yoke of the Ottoman Empire, the prevention of a national disaster during the First World War, the fight against the fascist occupiers and their collaborators during the Second World War, the NATO bombing of Belgrade or the Kosovo tragedy," the SVR states.
At all those historical crossroads, for the Russians, the fraternal ties and common faith with the Serbs remained unquestionable, concludes the statement of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation.
The neutral position is questionable
The Serbian government has maintained friendly ties with Russia under President Aleksandar Vučić, who has denied previous claims of Serbian arms shipments to Ukraine.
Belgrade has positioned itself as neutral in the Russo-Ukrainian war, seeking to balance its position as an EU candidate with its longstanding relationship with Moscow.
The "Financial Times" announced in June 2024 that Serbian ammunition worth 800 million euros had indirectly reached Ukraine.
