Or to threaten that the Serbian Progressive Party will stand alone in the next elections, and that the other parties can shut down and merge into the SNS or stand alone.
It would be news if he even announced the reconstruction of the government. Whether the agency's journalists will have an easy job or there will be no news again will be seen on the eve of Vidovdan, when the government announced a rally called "Serbia is one family". The media reports that children can expect special content, while adults are waiting for the development of the largest Serbian flag of 500 meters (which will surpass the one from April 2025, when the 200-meter flag was developed by the same organization). And another plan for the future will be presented.
What messages can be expected? Based on past experience, it is certain that Serbia will preserve the peace, local officials must talk to the people or they will be replaced, the economy is growing fast and it will be even better, they want to overthrow us because Serbia is moving forward, there is no more fear of "blockades", the president is a victim, there will be higher salaries and pensions. At the end, the call to victory is stronger than ever, declarations of love and expressions of gratitude to "brave people who are not afraid to show that they are with the government".
What do the people remember and what did they forget from previous similar events where Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić addressed his supporters.
FAMILY ABOVE ALL
Just three months ago, in anticipation of the local elections in 10 municipalities, the SNS held a large gathering "Serbia is our family" in the Belgrade Arena, not on the street (it is the gathering at which, according to official claims, over 30 thousand people stood in the Arena, and more than that stayed in front) and then the party program for the period from 2030 to 2035 was presented. The absolute foundation, as always, was the preservation of peace and political stability as a key precondition for economic progress.
That "preservation of peace" implies that peace is constantly threatened because our region and many others are "working on their heads" - they are not satisfied that Serbia is rapidly progressing in everything. And political stability means that the government is the same and has a strong majority in the Assembly so that it can make any decision.
"We have to preserve peace and stability, we remain a militarily neutral country," said Vučić, but also added that the country must deter anyone from aggression, that's why it invests in the army. He also addressed the local leaders, because while he was dealing with big things, roads and railways, not enough attention was paid to the people. "You can't act like you did before because the people want you to listen to them," the president said to the progressives who lead local politics and threatened to change them if they don't listen to the people and their struggles.
He said that he would lend a hand to his opponents, but he would protect Serbia from irresponsible people who would bring down the country. It broke when people realized that the country was attacked and put against the wall and, as he said, "the only thing left is shooting". For them (unnamed), the only program is "we will chase you, we will beat you, and we will offer new factories, renovated schools and kindergartens, railways and trains". And the world is changing, and Serbia has to change itself, to understand what artificial intelligence brings, it must not lose in this technological revolution.
In the end, progress is also visible, which brings many rich people, but some live hard. That is why, in the coming period, they will be more concerned about them, who have the lowest pensions, so that these pensions grow faster. By 2030, the average salary will be 1.700 euros, and pensions will be 750 euros. And more, the restoration of health centers, investment in education (to "compensate for this terrible evil they have prepared for us in one year"), breaking records in the construction of roads and railways, new capacities for airports - all without deadlines, so as not to repeat the scenes as during the tour of the works on the Fruškogorsk Corridor, which has not yet been completed even though it was supposed to be in 2024.
WHERE THE MOVEMENT FOR THE PEOPLE AND THE COUNTRY STARTED
The most similar to this gathering, which is expected this weekend, was the one from April 2025 on the plateau in front of the Serbian Parliament. It was then held as a meeting of the "Movement for the People and the State", a political project that Vučić had been announcing from time to time since 2022. The initiative committee was formed in 2025, but it never came to life. The rally itself was called "We will not give Serbia" and was a direct response to the mass student civil protests, especially the largest one, held on March 15.
And at this three-day gathering, the central event was Vučić's speech dedicated to plans for the future of the country. After looking at the victims of the canopy and the help to the families of the victims, the president usually first recounted what happened from his point of view, and then, what was most interesting, he presented the demands to the competent authorities.

He demanded respect for the Constitution and the law, for the institutions that were hijacked to be returned to the citizens, including the public service of Serbia, which, as stated by Vučić, is one of the key participants in the "colored revolution". In the end, Vučić, on behalf of those gathered, demanded that the authorities prevent any activity that illegally paralyzes economic activity, alluding to the frequent roadblocks at that time. The special absurdity of this gathering was when the president counted himself among those to whom the request is directed and among those who make the request - so he threatened himself that he would not give up until the requests were fully met.
If there had been no protests, Serbia would have been the fastest growing economy in Europe, this way it will be at least the third. That is why the attack on Serbia came from outside, because some do not want to see a free, independent and sovereign Serbia. And the Serbian people want their own politics, to be free and make their own decisions. And he will not suffer the cruelty of the "blockade", there is no more fear.
And then it was said that the world is changing, that the priority is to preserve peace in the region, that it will
ministers should be replaced if they do not work well. "Why the Movement for the People and the State? Because we have local officials who will not talk to the people," said the President of Serbia. He says, some people think that it is enough to win power and after that they don't know anyone except their friends with whom they have combinations. And Vučić ordered them to fight for the people, not for themselves. That's why the movement. The specificity of last year's gathering was the pedestrians from Kosovo, who on their way to the unprecedented largest rally in Novi Sad stopped to visit Pioneer Park. According to the president, the blockaders attacked and insulted them, and nothing is known about their fate to this day.
Last year, the president of Serbia offered elections, a referendum on himself, virtually extended his hand for a conversation, but was refused... Then Viktor Orban got involved via the link, now he probably won't.
THREE YEARS AGO, NADA WAS PROMOTED
Shortly before the fall of the canopy, and after the mass murders at the "Vladislav Ribnikar" school, in Dubona and Mali Orašje, in May 2023, in the same place in front of the Assembly, a rally organized by the "Serbia of Hope" authorities was held. It was necessary to call for reunification after the tragedies and mass protests of "Serbia against violence". More than the messages, that rally is remembered for the rain that drove away a large number of supporters of the government even before the end of the speech. Vučić then officially stepped down from the head of the Serbian Progressive Party and promised that from the next day he would become the president of all citizens.
It was then that the formation of the Movement for the People and the State was announced. "This is the last evening that I am addressing you from the position of the president of the Serbian Progressive Party," said Vučić, but there was no reaction from the audience or it was not heard due to the rain. "And already on Vidovdan, we start forming the Movement for the People and the State," he said.
The events in Kosovo gave a special tone to that gathering, because on that very day, the Kosovo police forcefully took over municipal buildings in the north.
"We will keep the peace, I will fight for every second of peace, but the first attack on the Serbs in the north and Serbia will not sit idly by," said Vučić at the time. And predicted that it will be even more difficult in Kosovo. But the world is changing and so must Serbia, but the government will not change on the street. "I invite you to a dialogue, but there will be no transitional government, I will not sign it for you as long as I'm alive, the government will be elected in elections," the president pointed out. And all the same - we don't even hate those who will go down in the annals of dishonor, they don't really care about the children but want to bring me down, come to the dialogue but on my terms, I'm proud of independent politics. In 2023, the President of Serbia announced that reality shows had been canceled and reiterated that he expects praise for that. If someone happens to still watch reality shows on national frequencies, the problem is with them.
And so years ago. For example, in 2023 and before that, at the meeting of the "Future of Serbia" campaign in April 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Sijarto, Milorad Dodik, and Ivica Dačić were present. Even seven years ago, Vučić spoke about the future of Serbia. "To keep the peace", was the initial message. That rally was a response to the "1 in 5 million" opposition protests.
