At the main hearing in the case against four SNS activists who are accused of being on the night of January 27-28 in Novi Sad they beat several students and inflicted on them serious bodily injury, the defendants were heard, and eight witnesses are expected to be heard in the proceedings.
All four defendants denied their guilt.
All of them refused to answer the questions of the prosecutor, the representative of the injured party and the court.
Only the defendant DR admitted that he was present at the Petefi Sandor school when the students were beaten, but he said that he did not get out of the car.
The others denied that they were at the scene that night, they said that they had left the premises of SNS before the incident, that is, in the case of the defendant ND, that he was not even outside his apartment that evening.
All four said that they voluntarily reported to the police when they saw in the media that a red Chevrolet was being sought, in order to clarify what happened, that is, to show that they were not guilty.
They also stated that in the police station a policeman insulted them, threatened them and then took their photos. Everyone believes that they are now in court because of that photo and asked the judge to cancel their detention and give them a lighter sentence.
