Na an excess of happenings, blockades, conflicts, arrests and resignations, the president of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić reacted appropriately this Thursday (November 21) by posting an "address" on Instagram.
Then he announced that on the same day at 17:20 he will be a guest on RTS, right there, he says, to throw everything in their faces because they also support violence.
During his guest appearance on RTS, the president said that RTS is the sister television of the "white world criminal" (Dragan Šolak), only that Šolak's televisions do it "stupidly", and RTS does it "more slyly and corruptly".
During Thursday, November 21, 12 people were arrested, and one person is wanted because of the tragedy in Novi Sad. Among those arrested are the retired Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesić, former director of the Railway Infrastructure of Serbia Jelena Tanasković, former director of the Infrastructure of the Railways of Serbia Nebojša Šurlan and assistant minister for railway transport Anita Dimoski and others.
The President of Serbia said that the prosecutor's office performed a "surreal quick expert examination". But also that the resignations are over and that it is up to the competent authorities to determine criminal responsibility for the accident in Novi Sad.
He added that there are pressure groups (opposition) in Serbia.
What did the "pressure groups" do?
During the previous days, the opposition held several different actions both in Novi Sad and Belgrade.
In front of the building of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad, opposition MPs in the republican and provincial parliaments have been organizing a blockade of this institution for three days. They demand that those responsible for the death of 15 people during the demolition of the canopy from the Novi Sad railway station be prosecuted.
Another demand is the release of those arrested after the protests that followed, demanding accountability for the tragedy.
Miran Pogačar on Thursday, November 21, during the third day of the blockade told "Vreme" that the court blockades will continue despite the fact that 11 people have been arrested due to the fall of the canopy.
During these three days, the police secured the entrance to the building with a cordon. And there was also fighting and jostling between the police and the opposition.
President Vučić said that on Thursday (November 21) there were a total of "180 people" at all four meetings (in front of the Faculty of Philosophy, the Faculty of Political Sciences, the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad and the Old Sava Bridge).
