Higher public prosecution in Belgrade (VJT) announced that, 30 days after the initiation of the investigation, it issued an order to expand it due to the criminal offense of aggravated murder AN which was committed on May 12 in the restaurant "27" in Senjak and related criminal acts.
In a statement on its website, the VJT stated that after the criminal complaint submitted by the Criminal Police Department of the Crime Suppression Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP), which was the basis of the order to initiate an investigation, a prosecutor's investigation was started during which material evidence was collected, witnesses were questioned and appropriate expert reports were ordered, some of which have not yet been completed and submitted to the prosecution.
What did the VJT order?
By the order to expand the investigation, the suspects Saša V. and Mario S. are charged with having committed the criminal offense of aggravated murder in complicity in connection with the criminal offense of illegal production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosive substances and the criminal offense of causing general danger.
Danka V. is charged by the order to expand the investigation with the criminal offense of aggravated murder in aiding and abetting the criminal offense of illegal production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosive substances.
Against eight more suspects in this case, certain evidentiary actions have been taken, announced VJT.
Reconstruction of the event
VJT announces that there are grounds for suspicion that on May 12, 2026, in the restaurant "27", in a state of sanity, aware of their actions, the execution of which they wanted and aware that their actions were prohibited, the suspects Saša V. and Mario S. as co-perpetrators, by joint participation in the act of execution, with intent, took the life of the injured AN in an insidious manner and carried firearms of an unknown brand without authorization with an unspecified number of ammunition, caliber 9×19 mm.
Saša V. simultaneously caused a danger to life and body of people with a generally dangerous act and a generally dangerous means, using the aforementioned firearm and firing projectiles.
The suspect Danka V. is in a state of sanity, aware of her crime and that it is forbidden, and the execution of which she wanted, she knowingly assisted Sasha V. and Mario S. in the commission of the crime of aggravated murder, by making available to them the means for the commission of that crime - a gun, and thus creating the conditions for their commission, while at the same time she also carried the firearm in question without authorization, it was announced.
First, at 22:45 p.m., the injured party, AN, left his house at the address of his residence in a black "BMW" type "X7" vehicle, towards the "27" restaurant, and upon entering the restaurant, he saw the suspect Saša V., with whom he had been in conflict before, who addressed him with the words: "Why are you frowning at me", after which the injured party said to him, "see you" and left the restaurant, got into his vehicle and headed back to his residential address.
Around 23:02 p.m., the injured party contacted Saša V. by phone and invited him to return to the restaurant in order to reconcile, telling him that he did not mean anything bad, he emotionally and half-crying told him "why are you frowning at me, why are you frowning at your brother" and swore to the children that he did not mean anything bad, so the injured party, who believed the words of Saša V. and that he had good intentions, drove off again at 23:08 p.m. from the address of my residence, I pointed to the restaurant "27", not expecting any danger.
Upon entering the restaurant, which was after 23:14 p.m., the injured AN sat down at the table with Saša V., and soon there was a short verbal discussion between the two, after which, at around 23:30 p.m., Saša V. using a firearm, namely a pistol of an unknown brand, caliber 9x19 mm, fired an unspecified number of shots in the direction of the injured AN, and at the same time, by firing the pistol in question, he caused danger to the life and limb of people, namely guests and staff who were inside the restaurant at that moment, according to VJT.
Previously, Danka V., at the invitation and on the instructions of Saša V., handed over the mentioned pistol to Maria S. in front of her residence in Belgrade, with the fact that she carried the pistol without a permit from the competent authority for carrying weapons.
The injured AN died due to the effect of the fired projectiles that led to the loss of a large amount of blood from the destroyed blood vessels, chest and abdominal organs and soft tissues along the canal, numerous gunshots (shots and gunshots) to the neck, trunk and upper limbs.
What were the police officers in front of the restaurant and the employees doing
While the suspect Saša V. and the injured party A.N were inside the restaurant, in front of the restaurant were the suspected police officers Miloš J. and Dušan V. who were there at that moment in the capacity of members of Saša V.'s personal security and who heard the shots from the restaurant and did not report the crime.
After Saša V. fired a projectile and took the life of the victim A. N., the suspect Nenad L, Vuk Š. and Petar U. helped Saša V. and Mario S. not to be discovered by concealing the means by which this criminal act was committed and by concealing the traces of the commission of that criminal act.
Together with them, they cleaned and wiped the scene and put away the broken inventory, while all three at the same time did not report the crime of aggravated murder to the detriment of the injured AN, for which a sentence of life imprisonment was prescribed, and then they all together took the body of the injured party out of the restaurant.
After that, the suspects Dejan S., Mario S. and Saša V. in an unspecified vehicle and in an unspecified time transported the body of the injured AN to the Jarkovac lake where they, together with Petra U. and Vuk Š. in the immediate vicinity of the lake, they put it in a blue barrel and covered it with concrete, and then buried the barrel in the ground.
The body of the injured AN was found by members of the Gendarmerie on May 21, 2026.
Concealment of evidence
From May 13, 2026 to May 14, 2026, the suspect Dejan S. drove the "Fiat punto" vehicle, following the instructions of Sasha V. and Mario S., to several different locations on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, where he finally parked the vehicle in Surčin, where he was confiscated.
On that occasion, a bag was found in the said vehicle containing a BiH travel document in the name of Saša V, a travel document in the name of Mario S, an identity card and a driver's license in the same name, a traffic license for an "Audi Q8" vehicle, as well as money in the amount of 10.000 euros.
Suspect Jasna Z. on May 15, 2026, in the morning hours, from the trunk of the "Golf 5" vehicle driven by his common-law wife, Dejana S, M. I., she threw out two sacks containing the material used to remove traces of the crime of aggravated murder to the detriment of the victim AN and threw them at the NN location on Petlovo brdo.
On the previous day, on May 14, 2026, Dejan S. transferred the aforementioned bags to the trunk of this vehicle at the overpass in Stara Pazova from his "Fiat Punto" vehicle, in which he was at that moment with Saša V. and Maria S. In another way, Dejan S. and Jasna Z. helped Sasha V. and Mario S. not to be discovered.
At the same time Jasna Ž. she did not report the crime of aggravated murder, which is punishable by life imprisonment.
The suspect Veselin M., in his capacity as an official, then the head of the Police Department for the city of Belgrade, knowingly failed to report a criminal offense that he learned about in the course of his duties, for which the offense can be sentenced to five years in prison or a heavier penalty, VJT announced.
