It's been two weeks since Aleksandar Vučić acquitted 49 personsand the public does not yet know who is on that list, warn the Academic Plenum and the Student List
That is why it is justified that there was a suspicion that among those who were acquitted were those responsible for the fall of the canopy at the train station in Novi Sad, which killed 16 people.
The fear is justified.
In the announcement of the Academic Plenum, it was emphasized that "citizens rightly fear that the list of those who have been abolished also includes people accused of the fall of the canopy, such as Goran Vesić, as well as those accused of corruption, such as Tomislav Momirović".
That's why he expresses his belief that "the list of persons who were pardoned by Aleksandar Vučić ahead of his resignation from the post of President of Serbia is being deliberately hidden until the end of the parliamentary elections."
They believe that the SNS expects that the publication of the names of the 49 abolished persons would cause justified dissatisfaction and anger among the citizens, and consequently a drop in the ratings of Vučić and the Serbian Progressive Party.
"The former president had the constitutional right to pardon, but the citizens have the right to know who he pardoned, for what acts and for what reason," stated the announcement of the Student List.
They remind that the High Court in Belgrade and the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime announced at the beginning of October that they had not received decisions on pardons in the proceedings they are leading.
Both the Student List and the Academic Plenum ask the state authorities to immediately publish a list with the names of all the persons that Vučić has pardoned.
