The rally in Novi Sad is today (June 21) ended according to the organizers, students of this city, and planned, before dark.
"We have a long and warm summer ahead of us, a summer of organizing and a summer of struggle. See you all over Serbia, students don't give up, students win. Good night Novi Sad, good morning Serbia," said student Olga at the end of the meeting.
The meeting in Novi Sad focused on several topics - changes in the previous year and a half, the situation in the media, the police and election conditions. As said, Serbia is not Aleksandar Vučić, nor this regime, but it belongs to the citizens.
Citizens are invited to join the students and get involved in the election process by participating in the campaign or by being observers in the elections.
The rally passed without incident.
"We have become more numerous"
Teodora Vukša, a student of the Faculty of Technology at the University of Novi Sad, was the first to speak at the protest, who said that the students did not accept that this was the best they could get.
"When they thought we would get tired, we became more numerous; when they thought they would silence us, we became louder; when they thought they would divide us, we showed that we can stand by each other," she said to the speaker Vuksa.
Previously, at 17 p.m., citizens started in processions from Limanski Park and the University Campus towards the roundabout.

Smiljana Milinkov, head of the department for media studies at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad, highlighted the threats that journalists receive, stressing that female journalists are especially exposed to vilification.
"Justice is selective, thugs are not punished, the police beat unfit journalists. Journalists have become a magnet for police batons. As much as we as a society have normalized the abnormal, it is up to us whether we are going to organize safe houses for journalists who are unfit for this regime or whether we are going to change everything that is broken," said Milinkov.
Police transformation is needed
Lawyer and former inspector Siniša Carević pointed out that no new law is needed to decriminalize the police, but it is necessary to respect the existing one.
"For that, we need an internal control sector that will be free from political pressure and influence. It is the sector that needs to fight against corruption and crime in the police. It is necessary to transform it. In the past few years, many things were done in the police against the law. We see that the police do not act in proportion to the application of their powers, that they use excessive physical force, that police officers hide under phantoms. It is necessary to build a system in which independent institutions will oppose such illegal behavior." added Tsarević.
Who votes in Serbia?
Full professor of the Faculty of Natural Sciences in Novi Sad, Sanja Belić, said that the first step towards returning sovereignty to the citizens is to clean the voter list and make every vote real.
"Dead souls vote and the living remain without their will. There are phantom voters who vote from addresses where they have never lived, brought overnight, just so that someone gets a vote that does not belong to them. According to the last census, 5,1 million citizens of full age live in Serbia. People, we have 6,5 million voters on the voter list. There is a huge difference, who these people are, who votes instead of them," Belić emphasized.
During the entire duration of the meeting, President Vučić was a guest on three national televisions. There he said that in Novi Sad, at 17:30, there were 3633 participants in the meeting.
