The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office (VJT) proposed to the judge for the preliminary proceedings of the High Court in Belgrade to extend the detention for up to 30 days for the seven suspects in the case being conducted due to murders AN in the restaurant "27" in Senjak on May 12.
The proposal to extend the custody of Sasha V. and Mario S. was submitted due to the risk of escape so that they would not repeat the criminal offense in a short period of time, and because the criminal offense they are charged with is prescribed a prison sentence of more than ten years.
The Prosecution also stated that the manner of execution or the seriousness of the consequences of the criminal offense led to public anxiety, which may jeopardize the smooth and fair conduct of criminal proceedings.
In regards to Veselin M. it was proposed to extend the detention in order not to destroy, hide, alter or falsify the evidence or traces of the criminal act.
The extension of custody for Danka V. was proposed because the criminal offense charged against her carries a prison sentence of more than 10 years, and the manner of execution or the seriousness of the consequences of the criminal offense led to public anxiety that could jeopardize the smooth and fair conduct of criminal proceedings.
According to Nenad L. and Dejan S., the extension of detention was proposed so that they would not repeat the crime in a short period of time, and according to Jasna Ž, so that she would not destroy, hide, change or falsify the evidence or traces of the crime.
