The leader of the Ecological Uprising, Aleksandar Jovanović Ćuta, commenting the announcement by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, that the Belgrade elections will be held on June 2, he stated for "Vreme" that "Vučić totally killed himself" and that his last media appearance was "a picture of a man who does not hold the strings in his hands."
"Everything works perfectly for him." His finances have never been better, a quantum leap into the future is achievable for him, the country is ruled by laws and the Constitution is respected, but I really don't know why he is so nervous when the situation is like that. Why such behavior? That's not the way someone behaves when everything is in order and in its place at home," Jovanović believes.
According to him, this can be seen in the decision regarding the Belgrade elections, and he reminds that the members of his closest leadership took a firm position on one date, and that he decided that the elections should be held on another date. He reminds that Vučić is not responsible for any of the mentioned decisions.
"It's cheating and playing with the state and trampling over people's lives every day." It is a disaster that has reached its last act. His announcement about calling elections is a violation of the Constitution. He is not the one who will determine the date of the election, nor cancel the already scheduled constitutive session of the National Assembly. That's a job for someone else," Jovanović points out.
He notes that behind Vučić's statements is his "precise calculation of how to stay in power in Belgrade".

Tanjug / Rade PrelićAfter the session of the SNS Presidency, the President of Serbia announced the most important decisions
"He will continue to work like that, because he can't do it any other way"
"Everything he does is a farce, but behind it lies an absolute calculation to stay in power in Belgrade until June 2." Until then, he will continue to steal the voter's list, only now he will try not to show that he is stealing so openly. He will not fulfill the recommendations of international organizations, and will continue to bring the poor from Mala Krsna and give them 2.000 dinars each. He will continue to work like that, because he can't do otherwise," emphasizes the interlocutor of "Vremena".
He adds that such a form of government has its duration and that he will not be able to rule in that way for much longer.
"It has its natural shelf life." You can rule the country in this way for 12 years, but you can't for 15. There comes a time when even he can't control everything by himself," Jovanović underlines.
Speaking about the opposition, he recalls that it won 24 percent of the votes in the previous elections, as well as that it achieved great success by unifying, which was requested of it.
"I talk about unification like a parrot: 'The circle of two with Ravna Gora must be united. Both the right and the left'. As Sloba fell, so will he. We have to do it, no matter how incompatible it may seem, because everyone is asking us to do it," says Jovanović.
It says that if Vučić does not fulfill the demands presented today, that there will be absolute instability in the country.
"There will be general dissatisfaction among the citizens." It will not be possible for him to exercise power. Simply, there will be no elements of the state. If he doesn't fulfill that, which is the last line, chaos will ensue. And that's why Brnabić says that a dialogue will be established, but in reality nothing will change," concludes Jovanović.

What did Vučić announce?
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that the Belgrade elections will be announced for June 2.
After talking with the representatives of the ruling coalition, he said in an address to the public that the elections will be announced on April 3.
He added that all other local elections in 87 local municipalities will be organized within the legal deadline.
Vučić said that there was no pressure to postpone the elections, but that he wanted to act as the president of all citizens and not only as a member of the Serbian Progressive Party.
He says that he has a desire to appease passions, although he considers the reasons that April 28 is not a good date because of the holiday to be meaningless and stupid, but that it is important that the elections be such that everyone recognizes the result.
"I call on the MUP to interpret the law on change of residence restrictively until the date of conclusion of the voter list for the elections in Belgrade." This is my attempt, although it may be a mistake, Ana Brnabić said that I am throwing pearls before swine, but I think we should have full stability," said Vučić.
He called for the ODIHR's recommendations to be respected, especially regarding voter education and crowding at polling stations.
Vučić announced that the new government will be elected by April 1.
