What happened during the highway blockade near Lajkovac?

After the dismissal of Kolubara employee Goran Perišić, citizens blocked the Miloš Veliki highway near Lajkovac as a sign of protest. The Gendarmerie intervened, several people were detained, and the media also reported on the use of pepper spray. Perišić claims that the dismissal is politically motivated, because he publicly criticized the government

EPS: Because of support for students, a warning before dismissal

Whoever supports students in EPS is threatened with dismissal. This also happened to Goran Perišić, the president of the "Jedinstvo Kolubara" working body. But he won't give up, because "he doesn't know what kind of parent it is that doesn't support children". That is why he is going to Kragujevac on Saturday

Where is Serbian energy going?

The government's new energy policy weighs 12 billion euros

The thesis that is mentioned in the public that EPS, if only there was enough coal, could have earned a billion euros from exporting electricity is wrong. With the existing production capacity of EPS, this was simply not possible; on the contrary, due to very poor hydrology and despite the full production of electricity from coal, Serbia would still have to import smaller amounts of electricity. That is why the priority is the construction of new capacities, the only question is - which ones

Kosovo: Auction for the sale of coal

Kosovo sells 100.000 tons of coal at a minimum price of 29 euros per ton, more than double the price in June last year. It is expected that the price of coal on the world stock exchanges will rise even more. Two months ago, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Aljbin Kurti, rejected the proposal of President Aleksandar Vučić to exchange Serbian electricity for Kosovo coal.

Energy situation: How to secure electricity this winter

Serbia could have avoided all this mess with electricity if the management of EPS had listened to experts who had been warning for years that it was necessary to move to new coal deposits and stop digging up already exhausted deposits. As if out of spite, the system "broke" at the most inconvenient moment, so the total damage that EPS will suffer will probably reach more than one billion euros. This is how we got into a situation where EPS, instead of investing and building a new Štavalj thermal power plant, throws that money at importing electricity. At the same time, no one can guarantee that Serbia will have enough electricity during the winter

EPS report: They are guilty, kanda, saboteurs and third columnists

EPS announces that due to "unexplained circumstances" and "deliberate errors in work", the police and security services will be looking for those responsible for the collapse of TENT. The investigation, therefore, will go in the direction of some third columnists and saboteurs, and not the completely incompetent progressive cadre, which includes acting director Milorad Grcic himself.
