One worker "Electric utilities of Serbia" was killed, and the other was slightly injured in the accident that happened on the assembly site "Radljevo Sever" in Rudarski basin.Kolubara".
The accident occurred when, during the loading of return stations and inclined articles onto traction trains, the cable of the crane broke, EPS announced.
Both workers were injured on that occasion, and MS was transported to the Emergency Center due to his injuries.
"Unfortunately, as a result of the injuries, the MS worker died in the Emergency Center, while the MZ suffered minor injuries," the statement of "Elektroprivreda Srbije" states.
Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, representatives of the Occupational Safety and Health Service, as well as other competent institutions went to the scene of the accident.
The circumstances under which the cable broke and the accident occurred will be the subject of further investigation by the competent authorities.
"Elektroprivreda Srbije" expressed its deepest condolences to the family of the injured worker.
