One person was killed and at least 14 people were injured mass shooting which happened in the southern part Chicago, the police said, reports CNBC.
The shooting happened in the night between Saturday and Sunday, around 11:37 p.m. local time, in the Washington Park neighborhood.
At that moment, the police officers were in a place where a large number of people had gathered and were trying to disperse the crowd when suddenly there was a shooting.
According to the information so far, at least 15 people were shot. A 35-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died after being taken to hospital.

Among the injured are men and women between the ages of 21 and 47. Several victims received gunshot wounds to the legs, arms, shoulder or chest, while some people were hospitalized in serious condition.
The police stated that no officer was injured in the shooting, while investigators went to the field to determine the circumstances of the attack and identify the shooters.
According to American media reports, at the time of the shooting, there was a gathering, or a picnic, in Washington Park, which was attended by former residents of the Robert Taylor Homes settlement.
Shells of various calibers, including shotgun shells, were found at the scene. The investigation is being conducted by Chicago police, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting are still being determined.
The police announced that for now there is no confirmed information about who opened fire and what was the motive of the attack.
