For every dinar invested in the project of a specialized international exhibition Expo 2027 the state would receive 1,91 dinars.
This is shown by the Economic, Social and Environmental Impact Assessment Study of Expo 2027 by the Louis Berger consulting firm.
The state's investment will amount to a total of two billion euros, au budget by the way taxes almost twice the amount could be returned to her - 3,82 billion.
Forbes Serbia states that these are projections, and to what extent the assessment is realistic, it will become clearer when the period covered by the study has passed.
Louis Berger was selected for the work of preparing the study in September 2025 through public procurement. That company was paid 68,9 million dinars including tax, the study was submitted to the state, and should soon be presented to the public.
During the preparation of the study, the impact projection also included a period of 10 years after the end of the event, ie until 2037. It is treated as a standard and relevant time frame for evaluating the effects of implementing projects of this type.
It is estimated that the state's investments of two billion euros in the Expo will also attract private investments in approximately the same amount - more precisely, 1,83 billion euros. Private companies will invest a smaller part before the Expo, about 500 million euros, and the rest after the event.
Those 3,8 billion euros of investment will make it possible to create the so-called added value for the Serbian economy of 9,1 billion euros by 2037.
