Through the education program "You can do it", about 4.000 young people got the opportunity to connect theory and practice and gain the self-confidence necessary for their first professional steps. Many of the participants of the program today lead teams and companies, educate generations or engage in scientific and research work with a focus on the well-being of people, communities and the planet.
One of them is Anđela Postolović, today the manager for quality compliance of West cluster operations in the STADA group. "When I was a pharmacy student, I was looking for a scholarship that offered more than financial support - mentorship and professional practice. I found that in the Hemofarm Foundation scholarship. I had the opportunity to get to know the company from the inside, people and processes, and that experience opened the doors of the pharmaceutical industry for me," says Anđela. "The program provided me with much more than professional knowledge. It taught me the meaning of integrity, teamwork and support. I am grateful to the mentors and colleagues who believed in me and showed that a culture of trust and learning makes every organization stronger."
For Dragana Grahovac, who recently graduated from Cambridge with a degree in micro and nanotechnology and is now a PhD student at the Technical University of Lausanne (EPFL), the experience from the program was both professionally and personally important. "Curiosity led me to everything I am today. The Hemofarm Foundation program showed me how important mentors and soft skills are for any career. The most valuable things I carry from that period are the people and the feeling of belonging to a community that encourages growth."
The stories of the Foundation's former scholarship recipients, Dr. Ronald Zeliger, CEO of the Hemofarm Group, points out, are the best evidence that investing in young people brings results: "The pharmaceutical industry is rapidly changing, and new generations of experts bring energy, knowledge and innovation without which there is no progress. Investing in young people is not only an obligation of society, but also a strategic need. Our task, as a company and as a Foundation, is to enable them to gain experience, to learn from the best and to develop in an environment that recognizes and values their potential. This is the only way we can ensure continuity of knowledge and sustainable development, because the strength of a company, just like a society, depends on the willingness to believe in young people and give them opportunities".
That's why the "You Can" program goes beyond the boundaries of a classic scholarship. It combines academic excellence, practical experience and a culture of responsibility, creating a network of people who support each other and grow together. "Through the program, we offer young people the chance to release their potential through knowledge, experience and contacts. Young people are a force we can count on and it is important to show them that here they have the opportunity to develop and grow", says Ivana Minović, coordinator of the Education Program at the Hemofarm Foundation, and invites students in their final years of medicine, pharmacy, technology, chemistry and technical faculties of electrical and mechanical engineering to apply for the competition for scholarships for the 2025/2026 school year. which started on Monday 10 November.
