The regime's media have already turned the collection of signatures for the lists participating in the extraordinary parliamentary elections on October 25 into a contest of who will be bigger. It is enough to look at the pictures of this technical, pre-election work of the main competitors, the "Aleksandar Vučić - United Serbia" and "Studenti pobeđuje" newspapers, to understand what kind of choice the voters are facing.
"The people unconditionally believe Vucic, 200.000 signatures in four hours!", writes on the "Politics" portal.
Then follows the explanation that "Kurir" found out that the list "Aleksandar Vučić – United Serbia" collected more than 200.000 signatures in just four hours.
"It is an absolute record, not only in Serbia, and not only in the territory of the former SFRY, but also much wider!", he continues.
"This is the biggest result ever, which, it is already certain, no one will be able to beat", the text emphasizes in case someone did not understand the original message.
And all this speaks "about the popularity of Aleksandar Vučić and the loyalty of the people who follow him".
"Magnificent" sight of Vučić's fans
On Friday, throughout Serbia, he continues in the same tone, "a real political force was seen - the force of the strongest political option not only in this region, but also much further".

Rivers of people flowed, the regime-controlled media reported, towards the locations where signatures were collected for the "Aleksandar Vučić - United Serbia" newspaper.
They were "magnificent sights" in places all over our country. People formed huge queues and patiently waited to put their signatures and thereby once again show their trust in Aleksandar Vučić and his politics....
Vučić is touched.
President of Serbia Vučić, i.e. SNS candidate for prime minister, admitted that all those pictures deeply moved him.

"I almost cried. Thank you, wonderful people of Serbia! Until the final victory!", said Vučić, who promised that he would soon resign from the position of President of the Republic and continue the campaign as an ordinary man, alone against everyone, in his private car and some "truck" that he will rent.
Where did the luck go?
When you look a little more closely at the videos that are playing on the regime's televisions, there is not much happiness in the queues to certify support for Vučić. You can see a large number of mostly elderly and the oldest people who seem quite tired.
It is clear that the entire progressive machinery has been harnessed to demonstrate force, with the aim of once again supporting Vučić's alleged invincibility.
As "Vreme" learns from several sources, public sector employees are under unprecedented pressure to prove their loyalty and, for now, certify their support for the regime at the notary.
When one takes a look at what is happening on the "other side", among the rebellious students, this rather comical emphasis on the strength and power of the progressive conglomerate in collecting signatures is not surprising.
Until now, the Serbian Progressive Party has not had an opponent so ready for the elections, which has practically been in the election campaign for over a year, which overtook the government with the first, official pre-election rally, which, as soon as the elections were announced, started a well-prepared campaign to collect signatures throughout Serbia.

In the footage shown by the cable televisions N1 and Nova S, and published on social networks, you can see smiling students, much younger citizens waiting patiently in huge queues in cities across Serbia.
In this sort of initial race, Vučić's company will "win", his list will take first place on the ballot at any cost, the "notary mafia" established by the regime will take care of that, which will make it difficult for the student list to verify signatures.
For the regime's propaganda, it is also important that Vučić's list collects more signatures than the students' list, because the Invincible could start the official election campaign with less support than his competitors.
