Serbian List (SL) asked the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to suspend dialogue with Pristina until "Kurti's fictitious mayors" withdraw from northern Kosovo and until ROSU special forces withdraw.
At the press conference after yesterday's violent incursion by Kurti's special forces and the occupation of the municipalities of Zvečan, Leposavić and Zubin Potok and the violence in which more than 10 Serbs were injured, the President of the Slovak Republic, Goran Rakić, conveyed the "demands of the Serbian people from Kosovo" that they are asking from President Aleksandar Vučić suspension of the dialogue, the Kosovo online portal announced.
Rakić "conveyed the concerns of the Serbian people and exhaustively listed all the examples, as he said, of the terror of the Kurti regime", which culminated in yesterday's illegal and violent incursion with tear gas, shock bombs and long pipes into the municipalities in the north of Kosovo.
"With all of the above in mind, we, the political representatives of the Serbian people from Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the entire Serbian people, request our President Vučić and the entire state leadership to immediately suspend any further participation of Belgrade in the dialogue with Pristina. "We believe that any further conversation with Pristina in the current circumstances is not only illogical, but also counterproductive," Rakić said.
Continuation of talks with Kurti's regime after yesterday's terror would, as assessed, send him a message that such action is quite profitable, because in every opportunity so far it allows him to consolidate the results of his illegal actions.
"From that perspective, we especially ask the state leadership that the decision on the temporary ban on the participation of state officials in the dialogue be lifted only after Pristina withdraws all special police ROSU forces from the north of Kosovo and Metohija and withdraws all its organs and forces and leaves the buildings of municipal administrations in the north of Kosovo and Kosovo", said Rakić.
He emphasized that the Serbs from the north of Kosovo had previously, when leaving the institutions, clearly told everyone what the conditions of return were.
"Aljbin Kurti's hostile actions continued even after leaving the institutions." Kurti continuously and daily carries out repression against the Serbian people. Yesterday we went to Belgrade to send a message of peace, we did not return when the incidents started because we received guarantees from KFOR that they would stand between the people and the special units, and that did not happen. We will no longer go anywhere from here, to any gatherings. We will stay with our people," said Rakić.
