Mladen Đurić from the Citizens Group Dr. Dragan Milić is the new president of Niš municipality Median.
His deputy will be Marko Aleksovski from the "Biramo Niš" coalition.
The new leadership was elected by secret ballot with sixteen votes in favor and eight votes against, and members of the municipal council were also elected.
Let's remind you, the leader of the opposition in Nis, despite accusations that the election results at certain polling stations in this city were altered, rejects the possibility of a protest in Nis because he is convinced that it would not change anything. However, he does not say how he intends to change anything, because the government does not care about accusations that the elections were grossly stolen.
And what now?
Dr. Dragan Milić, whose group of citizens received the most support from citizens among the opposition parties in the elections in Niš, said more than a month after the local elections that in Niš the opposition lists won 3332 more votes than the list with the name of Aleksandar Vučić and that they will continue to are fighting for victory by legal means.
Again he repeated the same things, which he says all the time, and which do not change anything.
"GIK honored us with 18 votes, but we do not accept that, our result says 3332, it was an undoubted victory and no magician can turn that victory into a defeat," Milić repeated for the umpteenth time at the press conference in Niš.
Until the realization of the electoral will of the citizens twice
He also said that they gathered in order to see what the reaction of the opposition would be if the court continued to violate the request.
"Basically, there are two ways: the first is to accept the court's decision and say 'that's it', which will never happen, we will not accept stolen elections." Not because we don't want to, but because we don't have the right to. "We will not adopt the idea of the people who contacted us with advice to accept the results," emphasized Milić.
Another proposal, he said, is to start with some demonstrations.
"Which would change something." I ask what, demonstrations where, for what purpose, for how long, and how to realize them? We invited people to protest, we gathered 5000, 10.000 and what's next, do we invade the city assembly, the GIK, the police? How do we get them to change their minds? It is a bad road," he said.
