The judge for the preliminary proceedings of the High Court in Belgrade ordered police officers DV and M.J to be detained for up to 30 days, suspected of not reporting a criminal offense and the perpetrator in the case of murder. Aleksandar Nešović Baja, announced the High Court in Belgrade.
Detention was assigned to the police officers MJ and DV due to the existence of special circumstances that indicate that by being at large he will interfere with the proceedings by influencing the witnesses, it was announced.
An appeal against the decision on custody is allowed to the criminal non-trial panel of the High Court in Belgrade, within three days of receiving the decision.
Denied guilt
The higher public prosecutor's office previously announced that police officers DV and M.J, members of the Witness Protection Unit, denied at the hearing before the prosecutor the commission of the criminal acts charged against them as part of the investigation into the murder in the restaurant "27" in Senjak.
There are grounds for suspicion that they, as members of the private security of Sasha V, suspected of serious murder, were in front of the "27" restaurant at the time of the commission of that criminal offense and that immediately after the commission of the criminal offense they had contact with the suspect Sasha V.
