Four Serbs were arrested this morning in Pasjan near Gjilan, for alleged war crimes, family members of the arrested Dragan Ničić, a retired educator, told RTS.
Apart from Ničić, Dragan Cvetković, Slobodan Jevtić and Milča Šošić were also arrested.
Pasjane is an ethnically pure Serbian village where about two thousand people live today, writes KoSSev.
By order of the special prosecutor from Pristina
The Serbs were arrested in an operation by special police units from Pristina, confirmed to RTS the police command of the Gnjilan region, without specifying other details because the case is not within their jurisdiction.
The action was carried out on the order of the special prosecutor from Pristina, said the family of the arrested Ničić, adding that the police searched their house during the action, but did not find any weapons or anything else suspicious.
The arrest of four Serbs in Pasjan upset the inhabitants of that largest Serbian village in Kosovska Pomoravlje, writes the RTS portal.
KM Office: Kurti continues to carry out terror
On the occasion of the arrest of Serbs near Gnjilan, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced that "Aljbin Kurti continues to carry out terror against the Serbian people both north and south of the Ibar".
"It is clear that with the new arrests in Pasjan, the anti-Serb regime from Pristina wants to escalate the situation on the ground and make the life of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija unbearable, and Kosovo Pomoravlje, the area where the largest number of Serbs live, has once again come under attack." the Office states.
He points out that "the Pristina regime enters the pre-election campaign with baseless arrests and attacks on all Serbs, because it has nothing to offer except pathological hatred of Serbs, except pressure and persecution in all Serbian areas with a single goal, which includes the emigration of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija".
"The question arises as to how it is not clear to the international factor and the missions that there is no rule of law in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, that Serbs are arrested according to Kurti's secret lists, according to which everyone who is a Serb is guilty, and that, accordingly, rigged trials are carried out under false charges with with the aim of the final ethnic cleansing of the Serbs".
