Lynching mob

Lawyer Milan Tasić demanded at the meeting on February 14 that "the closest family of the murderer Rastko Jović permanently move out of the municipality of Surdulica, because he doubts that any court will ever be able to provide them with safety after a serious premeditated murder." Therefore, to evict an Albanian family that has nothing to do with the death in a traffic accident for which a relative of the owner of the bakery is suspected. A new protest - probably with the same demand - has been announced for February 26

Faith in the healing power of death

If one accepts the opinion that the historical consciousness of the Serbian people reached heaven, was permanently sacralized, and remained dominantly sacred until today, the question of its study arises, especially when the researcher is an insider, a member of the Serbian people, such as Bojović. Can that study be something other than theological, that is, historiosophical? Or, nevertheless, it can be scientific, secular, historiographic?

Srpska lista, a counter that distributes money from Belgrade

The Serbian community in Kosovo faces a political monolith created by the Belgrade-controlled Serbian List. Although the citizens are dissatisfied, there is little room for change because the opposition lists are marginalized, and the economic dependence on Serbia further complicates the choice.

Culture of memory: How the eclipse scared the Serbs

An impressive "ring of fire" was visible on Wednesday when the moon blocked most of the sun over the Pacific Ocean. The spectacular celestial phenomenon was most visible over Easter Island and Patagonia. People gathered, sang, played music and wore special glasses to witness it. On this occasion, we remind you of the text from the "Vremena" archive about how Serbs survived a total eclipse of the sun 25 years ago.

Petitions for the removal of Albanian mayors: the Serbs whitewashed for nothing

Serbs from the north of Kosovo have signed petitions for the removal of Albanian mayors, but it seems that they will serve no purpose. Namely, petitions should be followed by a referendum, and Kosovo does not have a referendum law. There is still nothing from normalization, says Milica Andrić Rakić for "Vreme".
