Immediately after attack a 28-year-old Afghan citizen was arrested as a suspect in a park, the police announced.

Attack in a "dangerous" park
The deadly attack happened around 11:45 a.m. in Schental Park, near the center of this city of 70.000. The crime scene has been cordoned off for the investigation, affecting local rail traffic.
The police have offered an online portal where witnesses can upload pictures and videos of the attack.
Last November, the police designated Shental as partly a "dangerous place" because of the presence of people who use or deal drugs, robberies and physical conflicts within that milieu.
The English-style park is the size of ten football pitches and is frequently patrolled by the police. It is possible, the media write, that this is why the suspect was arrested so quickly.

A series of similar knife attacks
The new attack comes as early as January, after a year in which Germany faced a series of deadly attacks.
In December, a Saudi citizen killed six people with a car at a Christmas market in Magdeburg.
In August, in Solingen, a Syrian killed three people with a knife in front of the concert stage at the city's festival.
Before that, in May, an Afghan citizen stabbed a policeman to death and seriously injured five other people in Mannheim.
In recent weeks, the debate on migration and security has heated up. According to polls, those topics are the ones that most concern citizens before the early elections on February 23.
