"Kusutnjak remains" initiative: An illegal car wash is emerging

From the initiative Košutnjak remains announced with a statement on the occasion illegal construction na parking above the Košutnjak pool.

"For the past few days, a wild construction site without any signs was noticed in Košutnjak, in the parking lot above the Košutnjak swimming pools. As the initiative Košutnjak remains unofficially found out, the Institute for Sports and Sports Medicine has allowed the construction of an illegal facility that will serve as a car wash," the statement reads.

"The facility does not have any board about the execution of the works, and everything is done completely wildly. What is even more shocking is the plan for it to be a car wash that uses strong chemicals and to be installed without any study on environmental protection in the heart of Košutnjak, above the popular swimming pools. It is incredible that our Institute for Sports and Sports Medicine did not even think about the impact it will have on the flora and fauna of our protected forest," explained the Košutnjak remains initiative.

"The initiative Košutnjak remains, together with neighbors and other organizations, will prevent this wild construction because no one is allowed to build without a permit, especially in a protected area," said activist Nemanja Plavšić from this initiative.
