The entire Board of Directors of Radnicki from Nis has resigned. Ivica Tončev also retires from the head of the club

Management Board Football from the Workers' Club Niche he submitted his collective resignation the day after the defeat to Partizan at the Chair Stadium. This development also means the withdrawal of Ivica Tončev, the club's former first man, who was not formally a member of the Board of Directors.

The dissatisfaction of the fans with the management could already be heard last Friday, October 23, during the match with Novi Pazar, when for the first time the cries of "Management, out" were sent from the stands.

Dissatisfaction continued in the match with Partizan, when banners with the same message appeared in the southern stand, it is written Mozartsport.

The entire Board of Directors decided to withdraw after another defeat of the Nis club. The decision was soon confirmed by Radnicki, stating that the resignation was made "in the interest of the club".

"Recently we changed the coach in search of a solution, but now after another three consecutive defeats, we have decided that we will be the ones to resign, all in the interest of the club."

We want our Radnički to return to the place it deserves - at the top of the Serbian table and in European competitions. At the same time, we would like to thank all the fans and fans of Radnicki from Niš for their support and love so far," the club's press release states.

Toncevo's departure

Formally, Dragan Marković Markoni was at the head of the Management Board of Radniki, while Ivica Tončev was not a member of that body, but only of the club's Assembly.

For many years, Tončev was actually the first man of the Niš club, which is why the collective resignation of the Board of Directors also marks the end of his previous involvement in the management of Radnički.

Relegation zone

The resignation of the leading people comes at a time when Radnički is in a result crisis. Halfway through the first part of the Superliga, they occupy the penultimate place with only eight points. It is the weakest start in the last 15 years for Niš Radnički.

The previous administration came to head Radnicki in December 2016. During that period, the club also achieved significant results: after three and a half decades, it again played in European competitions, appeared three times in the European Cup qualifiers and in 2019 was vice-champion of Serbia. On the other hand, the last five years have been marked by a frantic struggle for survival in the Superliga.
