EMX Royalty, a partner corporation of the company Zijin Mining, announced that Ziđin reported a significant discovery at the Timok project in Serbia.
As the portal N1 writes, the newly discovered deposit of copper and gold, Malka Golaja, is located seven kilometers southeast of the Čukaru Peki mine.
It contains approximately 2,81 million tonnes of copper at an average grade of 1,87 percent and 92 tonnes of gold at an average grade of 0,61 g/t.
The numbers cited by Ziđin for copper and gold refer to tons of contained metal, which corresponds to approximately 150 million tons of mineralized material, writes eKapija.
As they add, in addition, the Malka Golaj deposit remains open on the periphery, which indicates significant potential for further mineral exploration.
This discovery, as reported by foreign media, was included in the report of Ziđin's annual results for 2024.
