President of the Constitutional Court Vladan Petrov who completely renounced professional independence in order to unquestioningly support the regime Aleksandar Vučić he stated that "the sanction for those judges who violated the ban on political activity and who publicly declare themselves as opponents of the current government, as if many did not advance in their positions with its help, is dismissal."

He also stated that there is an "appearance of 'organic' binding of a considerable number of judges to non-governmental organizations with dubious sources of funding and anti-state political activity".
"Individual members of those organizations, such as CEPRIS, refer to some kind of inviolability of the judicial function, but they trivialize it with their openly political actions," Petrov said.

Apart from the completely uncritical praise of Vučić's rule, Petrov is also known for visiting the so-called Ćaciland in March 2025 and providing support to "Students who want to learn".
He told the residents of Ćaciland that they should insist that the Rector of the University of Belgrade, Vladan Đokić, fulfills his promise and that he present to them as soon as possible a plan and program for compensating tuition.

Majić: Vladan Petrov's dangerous statement
Judge Miodrag Majić reacted to the statement of Vladan Petrov and assessed that such an announcement is very dangerous and that the preparation of the reckoning between the government and the judiciary is underway.
Majić told the Nova portal that this statement is worrying.
"It is not necessary to be too familiar with the current situation to understand that preparations are underway for a showdown between the current political authorities and the judiciary, which the regime sees as the only real threat. The statement of colleague Petrov is particularly worthy of attention, but also worrisome, if you bear in mind that he is the head of the institution that decides on the appeals of dismissed judges," said Majić.
He also explained that Petrov is directly in a conflict of interest.
"The colleague is at the head of the institution that should decide on judges' appeals, and with this statement he showed his position, that is, his opinion on how to deal with judges who are not at the will of the government. What he said regarding the sanctions for judges, that is, the dismissal, is very dangerous, because it shows people who are apologists for the government, that everything is allowed to them, while those who are against the views of the regime will be persecuted," Majić stressed.
