During the finale of Belgrade Music Week at Usce was created panic when the story spread that a person with a knife had been seen. The MUP says that they went to the field, checked all the information, but nothing was found and no one was injured. One person was arrested for disturbing public order and peace, RTS announced.
During the Belgrade Music Week festival, some of the attendees called the police because they "heard" that "someone saw a person with a knife".
The police went to the field, talked to those present, checked everything, but nothing was found that would indicate that anyone had been stabbed. The Ministry of Internal Affairs called all the hospitals to check reports that someone had come with a stab wound, but it was nobody.
And the organizer made a statement:
"During the very end of the Belgrade Music Week festival in Usce, incorrect and unverified information was published, which caused the audience in the front rows to become upset.
According to the current data of the competent services, not a single incident of the mentioned type was recorded on the ground. This is confirmed by the festival's security services, the on-duty police forces, as well as the ambulance crews that were deployed at the location all the time."
A video of the arrest appeared on social networks, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs responded that a person who disturbed public order and peace was arrested.
VJT ordered an investigation due to posts on networks about alleged incidents
The special department for combating high-tech crime of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade sent a request to the police to collect the necessary information in order to identify persons who posted false content on social networks in connection with the alleged incidents at the "Music week" festival.
As stated in the statement of the VJT, the police was ordered to determine the identity of the persons in order to proceed with the prosecution due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of the commission of the criminal offense of Causing Panic and Disorder from Article 343 of the Criminal Code.
