Basic the data: Bogoljub was born on January 17, 1954. Father Janićija, a merchant, supported eight family members: wife, five children and mother Yefimija. Mother Danica (née Kuzmanović) raised five children: Sreten, Dragomir, Zoran, Bogoljub and Olivera. When he got rich, he wanted to show everyone his wealth. He is generous with gifts. Bogoljub Karić likes to say that he is a "donor and humanist". In his forties, he discovered his love for painting. He is married to Milanka, with whom he has Nebojša, Nadežda, Jelena and Danica. Milanka recorded a cassette with city songs.
Schooling: He completed primary and secondary school in Peja, graduated from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics (Geography) in Prishtina and received his master's degree from the Faculty of Economics in Niš with the thesis "Organization and Development of Small Businesses".
Career: Incisive, with the motto "steam spins where a drill won't", Bogoljub came up with the idea to create his own company in the 70s. In the garage, they created a workshop for making hoes, axes and plows. They started their business with the establishment of the company Tehničar, from which the first private factory in Eastern Europe was created under the name of Kosovo Univerzum. Regardless of the names, the people simply called their companies "Karic Brothers". That's how a name was spontaneously born, which at that time became a synonym for a small, private business, and today for a large company dealing with construction, IT, media, telecommunications, banking, insurance, trade and education.
He was elected as a minister without portfolio in the Government of Serbia on October 20. He was in charge of the privatization of 75 of the largest state-owned enterprises and capital projects. He resigned in November 1999
O music: In the sixties, the brothers founded the Blue Star group. It was the first vocal-instrumental band in Peja. The youngest, sixteen-year-old Bogoljub, played the bass guitar and took on the role of manager. "I can freely say that the Blue Stars opened the door to rock, the Beatles and the Shadows, the Rolling Stones in Kosmet. Today they say that I am a former accordionist. I've never played the accordion. I can only regret not knowing. And they say that as if it is something ugly. We are a strange people. Imagine, knowing how to play the accordion is ugly for someone here. Anything, for God's sake."
Familiar NETWORK: "We Karici have our own unwritten constitution in which the main obligations and duties of all family members are precisely determined. Mother Danica takes care and watches over these rules of conduct. The main rules are about mutual solidarity, helping and supporting."
How se enriched: "I was rich back in Broz's time. I earned my first big money as a young man. I was walking past some waste in Peja and there I saw a pile of old shock absorbers decaying. The idea came to me that this excellent steel could be used. There is a part on the shock absorber that looks like a rod. It was only necessary to process that part a little, to sharpen it and make it, like that, a fantastic tool - the stem, that is. cutter for breaking concrete, walls. I also had the upper part painted blue and the pointed part red. And that tool flooded our and foreign shops. It was the first big money, huge earnings."
Da li owes regime to what ima: "No! I was born in a very poor family. We did not run away from the most difficult physical jobs, and we started our first business in a small garage. We worked and still work at least 16 hours a day. And already at the age of 23, I built a house of 800 square meters in Peja. All our lives, my brothers and I have been working both here and in the East, and in our country we have invested in modern technologies and institutions that have changed the face of Serbia. These days I hired a world auditing company to 'search' my business and I will publish that report that will show how much we earned here and how much we invested. But ninety percent of my jobs still remain abroad."

That's why today, when I start walking from Slavia, it takes me an hour or two to get to Knez Mihailova, because people come up to me, congratulating me on everything we brothers have done. That's enough for me."
Titles: On one occasion, he admitted that he obtained high titles through patronage. Karići know that titles leave an impression. On Dragan Karić's business card, it says that he is a doctor of philosophy, and for that title he also has certified diplomas from competent institutions. Bogoljub is an honorary Ukrainian academician, and, to complete his academic titles, he decided to defend his doctoral dissertation at the University of Niš. To Slobodan Milošević's remark that everyone will be convinced that he bought the diploma ("They won't believe you even if you defend it in the football stadium, not in front of a commission"), he wisely replied that he doesn't care: they will gossip about him until they get tired , and he will remain a doctor of science.
Planning of the future: Karići also plan where to be born. Instead of London, where he lives, one of Karić's family's daughters-in-law gave birth in New York, because the president of America can only be someone who was born there. In New York, Bogoljub announced to the guests at a cocktail party that the future president of America, John Karic the Second, was born.
O to the media: "It is incredible the amount of half-truths and pure fabrications that the tabloid press is spreading about our company, its beginnings and current affairs, about the alleged loans that we took and do not pay back, about the alleged current crisis in the company and the imminent closure of our companies, the collapse of the bank and the like . That part of the newspaper from Petparaka lives on scandals. They don't care about the truth. Those sheets of several pages, with five or six big headlines, which are read in three minutes and thrown away, those newspapers only want to discredit, stain and compromise our company. But there is a court."

I'm running for the twenty-first century, so that we don't wait until 2050, but I want us to enter it in 2001." He also said: "I'm not into big politics, you have plenty of those in this country. I am running to say out loud that the essence of progress lies in accepting the principles of the world market and in respecting the basic economic law: there is no free lunch. There is work to be done and no one can take from those who are working. That's all." He did not run for office.
