The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, met on Friday in Belgrade with the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik.
Vučić, as he wrote on his Instagram, said the same thing to Dodik Thursday to High Representative Schmidt, that Serbia will not and cannot accept the application of the Bonn powers.
"The ties between Serbia and Republika Srpska have never been stronger and no one will ever be able to disrupt them." Vučić promised Dodik that Serbia will continue to help the Serbian people in the Republika Srpska, "while respecting the integrity of the RS within Bosnia and Herzegovina."
Dodik complained to Vučić that "he and Republika Srpska are under great pressure regarding the internal political situation in BiH".
The Serbian member of the Presidency of BiH and the President of Serbia agreed that after the formation of the new Government of Serbia, the first joint session will be held in Banja Luka.
They agreed that the peace and stability of the region are essential interests of Serbia and Republika Srpska. As announced, Dodik and Vučić have a unique position on important political issues for the Western Balkans, but also for Europe.
We remind you that the President of Serbia met yesterday in Belgrade with the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Šmit, to whom he said that Serbia maintains the position that the Bonn authorizations do not help the stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Today's meeting with Milorad Dodik confirmed that Aleksandar Vučić still has an understanding for Dodik's political acrobatics that put him on the sanctions list of Great Britain and the USA.
The West does not look favorably on the "partnership" of Vučić and Dodik, and in the statements of EU officials, it is increasingly common to hear that Serbia is expected to contribute constructively to the resolution of the political crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
