The next two days, October 20 and 21, mission of KFOR under the leadership of NATO, the European Union Mission for the Rule of Law (EULEX) and Kosovo Police will conduct a joint exercise in Camp Vrelo, called "Golden Saber 2025", KFOR announced.
The Kosovo Security Forces (KBS), which participated in the exercise for the first time earlier this summer, will participate in the exercise for the second time.
KFOR states that the "Golden Saber 2025" exercise will involve a large number of personnel, vehicles and resources that will operate in the area of the exercise, as well as near and along the main communication routes.
The aim of the exercise, they stated, is to test the application of crisis management capabilities, skills and procedures in complex security scenarios. Some of them, they said, include the safe handling and disposal of explosive devices and hazardous materials.
"This joint exercise symbolizes our strong commitment to fostering mutual cooperation and coordination for the benefit of all who live in Kosovo," said KFOR Commander, Major General Ozkan Ulutaš.
