Montenegro's amendments to the Resolution International Day of Remembrance and Commemoration of the Genocide in Srebrenica 1995 were accepted, which represents a great success of Montenegrin diplomacy and a victory for all peoples in the region, it was announced today from the office of Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.
In the statement, it is recalled that Spajić said on that occasion that the essence of the amendment was preserved in the final text and added that they believe it is an additional contribution to regional reconciliation and good relations between Serbs, Bosniaks and all other peoples in the Balkans, RTCG reported.
"Namely, the amendments sent by Montenegro to the proponents aim to contribute to the removal of distorted and wrong interpretations and prevent misunderstanding and further politicization of this issue," concluded the announcement of Spajić's cabinet.
The government's first amendment read "reiterating that guilt for the crime of genocide is individualized and cannot be attributed to any ethnic, religious or other group or community as a whole."
The second amendment states that "affirming the inviolability of the general framework agreement for peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina in all its provisions".
