It sounds ironic, but it's real - the government has come up with a new way to counter the blockades, organizing counter-blockades.
After the first rallies against student and civil blockades and protests in 50 cities they held on Wednesday (August 20) sympathizers Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), new counterblockades were announced for Saturday (August 23).
As announced, the rallies will be held from 18.30:80 in XNUMX places across the country.
All of them will probably, like the previous time, be broadcast live in the program by pro-regime media.
At the previous meeting, on August 20, according to "Informer", there were about 35.000 people.
"There are hundreds of times more citizens than there have been blockaders on the streets of our country's cities in recent days, while not a single container was knocked down, not a single window was broken, no one was injured, no one was addressed with a bad word, not even a reprimanding look", writes "Informer".
According to that portal, this time it is expected that that number will be even higher today.
Mobilization of people for pro-regime media
The previous rally was simulcast by pro-regime media.
The editor-in-chief of "Informer" television sat in the studio with three colleagues and commented on the events on the streets, while reporters from "Pink" television joined the program from the field.
The messages that were heard in the "Informer" program, as well as those that could be read on the portals of the pro-regime media, were the same - according to them, ordinary people took to the streets, eager for peace and stability.
Videos were released from rallies from cities all over Serbia, from where "ordinary citizens" say that they just want to express their opinion peacefully, without fear that someone will lynch them for it.
In almost every recording, the speakers explicitly emphasized that they are "ordinary, normal people", who just "want to go to work, to school normally".
Banners stating that they want to study were also carried by those citizens for whom it can be evidently concluded that they left the school desks a long time ago.
Change of profession for the sake of the statement
Some of the interlocutors of the pro-regime media they changed professions, wardrobe and statements for various media.
Thus, one participant of the meeting held in Pancevo on Wednesday was an educational worker for "Pink" and "Informer", and at the same meeting, only without the shirt that she had put on over the wardrobe in which the reporters of "Pink" filmed her, she declared for "Prva" that she is a student who wants to study.
The meetings were not organized by the Serbian Progressive Party, the President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić said earlier, and Dragan J. Vučićević revealed in the program that the Center for Social Stability was the organizer.
This center, in cooperation with "Pink" and "Informer", broadcast mini-series "(De)blockade", about which the authors said: "We investigate the deep social and political upheavals that hit Serbia! From the tragic events at the Novi Sad Railway Station to the blockades of educational institutions in Serbia, this series will reveal who is behind the protest activities and what the state's reaction is."
The same center also produced the mini-series "Time of Terror", broadcast on pro-regime television, which talks about student protests, and second part also finds a connection with the protests in Serbia and the events in Odessa in 2014.
