"You can blame me for everything, a million mistakes, you can hate me or love me, but you can't lie that I wasn't hardworking, diligent and that I didn't work," says Vučić for himself.
Announcements that the current president of the state Aleksandar Vučić could sit in again prime minister armchairs are no longer a novelty. They have been talking about it more than once in public recently spoke his party and coalition comrades, but the news is that Vučić is now begging them not to do it anymore.
On Monday (February 9th), he asked all friends and colleagues not to say that he should be prime minister, although he does not rule out the possibility.
"I am asking all people, my friends and colleagues, not to declare that I should be the Prime Minister of Serbia," said Vučić and added that at the moment he does not want to say "no" to that possibility, but he would not want to do any work without energy, enthusiasm and strength, reports FoNet.
Recently in interview for Reuters said that he has not yet made a decision about what he will do after the end of his presidential term, but confirmed that extraordinary parliamentary elections will be held this year. Even then, he did not rule out the possibility of returning to party politics or office premiere.
Vučić's term as president, the second in a row, expires next year.
Since he will not be able to run for the same position, he is now being mentioned more and more often as the future head of the government.
He still quibbles in his modesty about that question, but he doesn't rule out the possibility.

Let the people decide.
Support for that idea comes from high-ranking government officials. Among the first announced formal president of the Serbian Progressive Party, adviser to the president on regional issues and former prime minister Miloš Vučević, who said that "it would be a shame to lose such political capital", while claiming that Vučić "doesn't have the comfort to retire".
And then the current Minister for Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs expressed a similar position Milica Djurdjevic Stamenkovski. She stated that she "thinks that the president (Serbia Aleksandar Vučić) indicated with his performance at the previous session of the Government what the Government of which he will be at the head will look like".
Vučić now asked "Milos and Ana and Sinisa not to talk about it, not to speculate or ask for anything", mentioning the president of the Serbian Progressive Party Miloš Vučević, the President of the Assembly Ana Brnabić and the Minister of Finance Sinisa Malog.
As he said, it should first be his decision, that is, the people's decision.
"The people want changes, but not the kind imposed on them by the blockaders", stated Vučić and added that the people want stability, not chaos.
Vučić added that "people want both stability and change, and whoever is able to convince them of that will win their trust."
He also said that after "watching someone for 14 years", it is hard not to wish for change, but he pointed out that it should be borne in mind that the government has achieved certain results that are taken for granted - a stable exchange rate, an average salary above a thousand euros, the lowest rate of public debt in relation to GDP.
He added that he is "burdened" with upcoming trips and the announcement of talks with Turkish President Recep Erdogan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, so "this is neither the time nor the place" to talk about the issue of the prime minister.
Hardworking, diligent, hardworking

And while he often emphasizes his own modesty, Vučić still gave a mini eulogy about himself on Monday.
"You can blame me for anything, a million mistakes, you can hate me or love me, but you can't lie that I wasn't hardworking, diligent and that I didn't work," Vučić told reporters at the General Secretariat of the President of the Republic, after Bishop Sergij of Bihac-Petrova presented him with the Order of the New Martyrs of Bihac-Petrova.
