How much does a dignified life cost?

Is the action "Best price" just a promotional trick of the ruling party at a time when people are protesting on the streets against lithium mining and when the minimum wage for the next year is being decided? It will be 53.592 dinars, which coincides with the amount of the minimum shopping basket, but for May of this year. In addition, the Labor Law, in relation to the payment of the minimum wage, has not been respected in Serbia for years

The minimum wage in 2025 will be 53.592 dinars, the unions are not satisfied

The minimum wage in 2025 will amount to 53.592 dinars, which is an increase of 13 percent. That is 7 dinars per hour. The minimum wage covers the minimum consumer basket, and after six years the amount of the minimum wage was reached by agreement. The unions, however, consider this amount shameful

Vučić to the unions: The minimum of 52.000 dinars is enough for you

On Thursday, August 15, negotiations on the amount of the final salary will begin. The unions have said how much they are asking for, but Vučić is offering less, even though he has no authority to do so. The President of Serbia believes that the minimum wage should be lower than the minimum consumer basket

Unions: Real wages lowest ever

Negotiations on the level of the minimum wage for next year are scheduled for tomorrow within the Social and Economic Council (SES). President Aleksandar Vučić has already presented his "predictions" on the amount of the minimum wage, while the trade unions believe that it is necessary to finish the story about their request for an extraordinary adjustment of the lowest wages, which they requested in the spring of this year.

Welcome to capitalist Serbia

With 40.000 dinars per month, which is the minimum, it is not possible to live, unless a family of three will only feed on bread smeared with fat. Arguments that 120 dinars are not enough for education, or 1200 dinars for clothes and shoes, do not reach the political elite.

Minimum wage proposal: What can (not) be bought for 40.000 dinars

The deadline for defining the minimum wage is September 15, and none of the three interested parties want to give up their proposal. If they do not agree, the minimum will be determined by the Government. With a consumer basket of 100.000 dinars, a family with 40.000 dinars can survive for at most half a month
