On Wednesday, convicted war criminal Nebojsa Pavković will be buried in the Alley of Deserving Citizens at the New Cemetery in Belgrade. Who is it intended for and what message does Belgrade send when it stores Milošević's favorite general there
Rock diva Slađana Milošević was buried today in Lešće because, according to the opinion of the majority of the Provisional Authority of the City of Belgrade, she has no place in the Alley of Deserving Citizens. The same was decided a few days ago on the occasion of the funeral of the famous photographer Tomislav Peternek
After the initiative of the Support of Fine Artists of Applied Arts and Designers of Serbia that the photographer Tomislav Peternek be buried in the Alley of Meritorious Citizens, the City of Belgrade Administration did not accept that proposal. This opened the question of how and with what merits eternal rest in this place
Tomislav Peternek is known as the doyen of Serbian and Yugoslav newspaper photography, an artist of international reputation who erased the boundaries between artistic and documentary photography. He died at the age of 91 on March 24, and the SNS MPs did not accept the initiative of the family and the Association of Fine Artists of Applied Arts and Designers of Serbia (ULUPUDS) to be buried in the Alley of Deserving Citizens
