If Zelensky is ready, let him come to Moscow, Putin said.
He added that Russia is ready to raise the level of the negotiating group with Ukraine, if the need arises, TASS reports.
"I would not like to be specific now, I am mentioning any specific names, but we are ready to raise it to a really high political level. The result is important," Putin said.
What do Ukrainians say?
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sibiha, assessed today that Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal to hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Moscow is unacceptable.
According to Ukrainska Pravda, Sibiha said that at least seven countries have offered to host the Russia-Ukraine summit, and among them are Austria, the Vatican, Switzerland, Turkey and the three countries of the Persian Gulf. These are serious proposals and Zelensky is ready for such a meeting at any time. Nevertheless, Putin continues to ridicule everything, knowing that it is an unacceptable proposal, explained the Ukrainian head of diplomacy.
Sibiha believes that only increased pressure can make Russia get serious when it comes to the peace process. At a press conference in Beijing, Putin proposed to Zelensky to travel to Moscow for talks.
