How much Orban's family earned while Viktor was in power

The Hungarian economic portal G7 calculated how much the family members of former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán earned during his sixteen-year reign

According to the analysis of this portal, companies associated with Orban's children and his father received a total of 64.153.512 euros (25 billion forints) from 2010 to 2026 based on dividends.

The G7 portal states that the father of the former Hungarian Prime Minister Győző Orbán received 31.306.913 euros over the past 16 years based on dividends from his mining companies, while he took another 3.592.596 euros from his other companies, i.e. from companies dealing with shipping and real estate. Therefore, his total income from dividends amounted to 34.899.510 euros, writes the Hungarian Economic G7 portal.

Earnings

The HVG portal also analyzed the earnings of Orban's family. The Hungarian portal states in its text that Viktor Orban's son-in-law Tiborcz István received 29.254.001 euros based on dividends between 2015 and 2026 from companies owned by him. Most of the payments come from companies from the BDPST Group, which deal with investments in tourism, real estate, the financial sector and logistics.

At the end of 2025, the central company BDPST accumulated almost 133.439.305 euros (52 billion forints) in retained earnings, which means that Ištvan Tiborc could receive that amount based on dividends in the future, which is more than twice the amount of all the dividends that the Orbana family received in total, while he was in power, writes HVG.

They add in the text that according to the reports of the BDPST group for the year 2025, the holding company Tiborca BDPST Zrt. continues to make the most significant profit of 6.928.579 euros, which was not distributed on the basis of dividends.

Company BDPST Koncept Kft. in which one of the general directors is the daughter of the former Hungarian Prime Minister Rahel Orbán (Orbán Ráhel) has also performed well in the past period. The income from sales in this marketing agency increased to 3.592.596 euros, while the profit after taxation amounted to 315.635,28 euros.

After a long period of losses, real estate company TRA Real Estates Ingatlanutilizó és Szolgáltató Kft., which operates the 5-star wellness hotel BOTANIQ Castle (formerly Schossberger Castle) in Tura, Pest County, turned a profit for the first time, ending last year with a profit of almost 151.402 euros, although it accumulated a total loss of about 3.335.982 euros in the previous five years.

However, HVG notes in its text that several subsidiaries of the group of companies, which are connected to the family of the former Prime Minister of Hungary, are still operating at a loss.

Odu Store Kft., which was founded in 2021 by the daughter of the former Hungarian Prime Minister Rahel Orban, operated with a loss of 549.410 euros last year, and since its inception, this company has accumulated a total loss of 1.215.580 euros, which was eventually covered by the company BDPST Zrt. payment of 833.995 euros.

Company in Serbia

Among the companies that planned expansion to the foreign market, BDPST Serbia doo ended the year 2025 with a loss of 30.793 euros, HVG informs.

BDPST Serbia doo is a branch of the Hungarian investment company BDPST Group owned by Orban's son-in-law Ištvan Tiborac. The company operates in Serbia primarily as an investor and manager of a portfolio of commercial real estate and business parks.

Forbes Serbia wrote more than two years ago that this company is the owner of 11 office buildings in New Belgrade and five business parks, and they made the purchase through their company Diófa Fund Management.
