Donald Trump, the former president of the United States of America (USA) was wounded at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday evening.
CNN writes that the killer involved in the incident at the Donald Trump rally in Pennsylvania has been "neutralized", according to multiple sources connected to the security services.
It also reports that, in addition to the attacker, one person was killed in the incident at the Trump rally, and another was seriously injured.
After the gunshot, Trump fell to the ground and was covered by Secret Service agents. Security picked him up and he had blood on his face.
Trump was then taken to a vehicle and evacuated from the scene. The incident happened moments after he took the stage at the rally.
Journalists at the rally said they heard "a series of loud explosions or loud bangs" before Secret Service agents rushed toward Trump.
US President Joseph Biden was immediately informed about the events in the small town north of Pittsburgh, and officials from both parties - Democrats and Republicans - stood up against the politically motivated violence, half an hour after the incident.
Representatives of the Trump campaign, without explaining what happened, thanked members of the security services for their quick reaction.
"President Trump thanks law enforcement and those who responded immediately during this cowardly attack. He is doing well and is being examined at a medical facility," Trump's team announced on the "X" network, formerly Twitter.
About twenty minutes after the incident, the Secret Service asked the media representatives to move away, because the place where the Trump rally was held was declared a crime scene.
"Trump is fine"
Donald Trump's spokesman Stephen Chung said the former US president is "fine" after collapsing on stage at a rally in Pennsylvania, where shots were fired.
Trump is safe after the incident at his rally, said Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the US Secret Service. "
"The incident happened on the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service implemented protective measures and the former president is safe. An active Secret Service investigation is underway and further information will be released as it becomes available," Guglielmi said in a statement, according to CNN.
