Through joint humanitarian activities, the bank and the best scorer in the history of the Serbian basketball team continue their long-term cooperation. The "Bogdan Bogdanović" Foundation and Raiffeisen Bank are participating in the renovation of school basketball courts in Serbia.
Speaking about the joint work of the foundation that bears his name and Raiffeisen Bank, Bogdan Bogdanović said that it is extremely important that responsible and large companies recognize the importance of supporting Serbian sports.
"With better conditions, we want to encourage and inspire young people to enjoy outdoor sports, playing and socializing in a safe environment. Like many of today's national team players, I took my first basketball steps at school and found many friends. Sports and basketball unite people," said Bogdanović.
Zoran Petrović, chairman of the Executive Board of Raiffeisen Bank, said that Serbia is a country of basketball, and that Bogdan Bogdanović is a unique personality in that country, on and off the court.
"There are no two Bogdan Bogdanovićs, because no one like him combined extraordinary talent, hard work and incredible passion in such a specific way, the one that, in the crucial moments of the biggest world competitions, managed to connect and unite 12 players into a compact whole. On the other hand, his human qualities and philanthropy show that being a captain means taking responsibility for things that concern not only you, but the general well-being. This is the similarity between Bogdan and Raiffeisen Bank. That is why we are extremely proud that Bogdan Bogdanović represents our values and we look forward to seeing our logo on his jerseys and those of the other national team members as they celebrate the new successes to which they are already accustomed," said Zoran Petrović.
Bogdan Bogdanović won silver medals with the Serbian national team at the World Championship in Spain, the Olympic Games in Brazil, the European Championship in Turkey and the World Championship held in 2023 in the Philippines. With the Serbian national team, he also won a bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.
