The festival of film direction LIFFE in Leskovac is concentrated on the achievements of the countries of the former Yugoslavia. His selector says "as soon as the first frame appears on the screen, the viewer knows that this is the former Yugoslavia, the scenery is like that, the faces of the people are like that"
Family and family relationships are the theme that connects the ten films selected by Ognjen Sviličić that will be screened at the LIFFE film directing festival in Leskovac. LIFFE starts on the 25th and runs until the 30th of September.
"The basic criterion by which I always choose films for this festival is the desire for the audience to watch the best films from the former Yugoslavia." So, the idea is to have an overview of the film production of the region in one place, which is culturally, linguistically, and related by family and friendship," says selector Ognjen Sviličić, a director and screenwriter from Croatia.
He explains that "all countries of the former Yugoslavia are represented according to their production activity." Here I must say that in the case of Serbia, I had to leave out the films 'Guardians of the Formula' and 'Mother Mara' because I participated in them as a screenwriter".
He says that "as soon as the first frame appears on the screen, the viewer knows that this is the former Yugoslavia, the scenery is like that, the faces of the people are like that." Let's say that this selection reminds us that we belong to the same space."
Sviličić notes that "this year, it's as if the authors of the region came to an agreement and all made a film about the family." There are all kinds of them, almost none of them are happy."
"We can say that the strangest family in Macedonia is Household for beginners, composed of outlaws who bravely fight against the condemnations of the environment. There are also two Croatian families in the terrible embrace of patriarchy, one in Slavonia The Holy Family and another in Dalmatia Only when I laugh. Both are unfortunate, only one before World War II, the other today. The families in Serbia are not very happy either, one struggles with the downfall of the working class in a rather interesting way, hence the name of the film The working class is going to hell, and another family encounters war knocking on their door in
3 days

. "
It is not much better in Slovenia either, says Svilačić, "there is an unfortunate boy in search of a surrogate father in A role model, and there is also a film that talks about the great Slovenian actor in an extremely warm and interesting way, so he also tells us about family and its importance. The film is named after him However. There is also a family in the making, a movie about a wedding. But even before they met, it seems that they all parted ways, in Montenegrin Alive and well. Finally, there is an emotionally devastating story about a boy and his mother, a family that was separated by politics Lost country. "
"All these stories tell us, for the umpteenth time, that no matter where we live in the region, we all share the same family problems, it's just that sometimes the solutions are different."
Ognjen Sviličić is the selector of the festival in Leskovac for the third time. His wish is that, "as Sarajevo has become one big festival that connects our region to the world, Leskovac should be a festival that concentrates on the former Yugoslavia." In Leskovac, we can see who made what, it can also become a place where, in addition to the audience, authors can see the actors they need, and possibly achieve some collaboration."

The performance of "Balkan Spy" was canceled tonight just before the meeting of the Student List at Slavija - due to the indisposition of the actors! "I am not indisposed," says the director of the play, Tatjana Mandić Rigonat
The members of the legendary German avant-garde rock group "Faust" recorded four exciting solo albums and released them on the same day. The exceptionality of this event is contained in the fact that the group has not existed for a long time, but all four founders, after a long break, worked together again, extending the duration of their visionary work deep into the XXI century.
There is, literally, no difference between the one who claims it is day in the middle of the night, or the one who claims to be a giraffe, from the claims we read on billboards: that Vučić is working to unify Serbs and that Serbia is doing better and better day by day.
The pre-election arrests due to the alleged "overthrow of the state" testify to the regime's panic. The bad news for them is - they can't arrest the whole people who decided to defend themselves from progressive beatings and election theft
The ring that tightens around Ćaciland Student list is getting narrower. Because there are more and more spoiled people who see the false prophet for what he is: a street obscener who is fighting Serbia
