Actors' Union National Theatre in Belgrade, SINGLUS filed a criminal complaint against the Organized Crime Prosecutor's Office Minister of Culture Nikola Selaković, president of the Board of Directors of the National Theatre Dragoslav Bokan and Acting Director of the National Theater Dragoljub Bajić.
Darko Tomovic, the president of this union told "Vreme" that they filed the criminal complaint on Friday, March 6.
He says that all three of them are accused of harming the collective, abusing their official position, which primarily refers to the decision of the Ministry of Culture and the Theater Administration that on October 3 close the building for two months although they did not have a decision from the Ministry of Internal Affairs about it, for the collapse of the material condition and reputation of the house, and announces that he will soon inform the public in more detail about everything.

For now, he says Darko Tomovic, they did not receive any reaction from the Cabinet of the Ministry of Culture or from the Administration of the National Theater regarding the criminal complaint.
That the actors of the National Theater sent a criminal complaint was revealed by Željko Hubač, the dramatist of this theater, and director Tatjana Mandić Rigonat through posts on their Facebook profiles.

In the TOK, there is already one criminal proceeding against Minister Nikola Selaković, in the case of the General Staff. Nikola Selaković is the only minister of culture in the history of Serbia against whom criminal proceedings have been initiated.
In the press release they published on Monday, March 9, it is written that "a criminal complaint was filed regarding a series of actions and decisions that, according to the trade union, led to serious consequences for the functioning of the National Theater in Belgrade, including the closure of this institution. We believe that the aforementioned actions caused damage to the reputation and work of the National Theater, as well as the interests of employees and the public to which this institution belongs."
As artists and employees of the National Theater, we consider it our duty to inform the competent institutions and the public about everything, with the conviction that it is in everyone's interest that the circumstances and responsibility be determined in a legal procedure."
In the end, they emphasize that "The National Theater is an institution of national importance and we believe that its work must be protected and managed in accordance with the law and public interest. National is national."
