It was reported that the fourth performance was also cancelled participation in the 59th Bitef, which means there are only three left.
Three performances are insufficient for a festival like Bitef, and his administration and the City Secretariat would have to say what to do next.
Spasoje Z. Milovanović, selector of this year's edition of the festival and president of the Board, has several options: to resign, to replace the canceled performances with new ones, or to try to find a solution worthy of Bitef in agreement with the professional public.
The fourth and fifth would be: to explain and acknowledge last year's shame, so that Bitef could continue to live and grow peacefully and beautifully, or for the City Assembly, the founder of Bitef, to simply cancel the festival and relieve itself of both costs and problems.
Fifth option
The latter is not certain, but the fourth option seems unlikely. And the third is the same - it is almost unimaginable that the Committee elected by the SNS Assembly of Belgrade will admit that it made a mistake.
The resignation of Spasoja Z. Milovanović is not impossible, but to some extent it would be unnecessary because he is not to blame for last year's censorship, for the rejection of Milo Rau's play proposed by the selection team of Miloš Lolic, since the collapse of Bitef has started to plummet.
Milovanović could, of course, not accept the position of selector, he knew that he would have to agree to bad and imposed conditions, so in that sense he is responsible for this year's finishing of Bitef, which means that his resignation would be meaningful. Of course, there would also be a dose of running away from problems, but this is also human and legal.
The second option is most likely: instead of four canceled performances, there will be four new ones. To replace them, so that Bitef would be maintained from time to time and everything would work fine.
Question without a right answer
Now the question arises as to how much and if at all the program made up of plays from the reserve will benefit/help Bitef. The answer depends on who you ask.

About all this, we only learned that this year's Bitef will take place, that there will be seven performances on the program as planned, and that the signing of the contract with four new performances is expected next week.
