Bitef or No: Bitef?

It is clear that the 59th Bitef and other No: Bitef are two approaches to the question of how this festival can go further, but both are hardly sustainable in the long run. Bitef without artists important in the world context and with half-empty halls cannot be a festival of the greatest European importance. On the other hand, a large international festival without funding can hardly survive. We may be on the verge of losing Bitef. That would be a huge harm and injustice to the future generations of our viewers and artists, who need to see the best of the best in European and world production on domestic stages.
