Cold rehearsals central heating starting on October 1st, and heating season officially begins on the traditional 15 October.
Exceptions are possible only if the temperature is below 12 degrees Celsius during three consecutive nights.
Thanks to the request of the Belgrade heating plants that the price of heating be increased by 6,4 percent, the price of central heating will increase by that much from October 1.
Central heating for business premises will increase in price by six percent.
Thus, the price of heating per square meter of residential space will increase from 1.578,67 to 1.679,35 dinars (without VAT).
The price of office space is expected to increase from 16.315,43 to 17.287,80 dinars (without VAT).
This specifically means that for a 60 square meter apartment in Belgrade, the bill will be about 600 dinars higher. Thus, the November bill, which until now was 8600 dinars for heating a 60-square-meter apartment, will be increased to 9200 dinars.

Consumers who used to pay around 3000 dinars for heating until October 1 will pay around 3200 dinars, and those who used to pay around 10.000 dinars will pay around 10.600 dinars.
Price increases in other places as well
A large number of heating plants announced an increase in heating prices in other places this summer.
The heating plant in Kruševac announced that heating prices will increase linearly by 9,4 percent, both per consumption and per square meter.
In Kraljevo, the heating will increase by 11 percent, which means that for a 60-square-meter apartment, the price will increase by about 700 dinars.
In Leskovac, the price of heating has been increased by nine percent, while in Majdanpek they claim that until the end of the year, heating "will certainly not increase in price", and whether the prices will change after that period depends on the prices of energy sources.
Users of district heating in Kragujevac will pay 133,24 dinars per square meter instead of the current 121,15 dinars, and for those who pay for heating according to consumption, the price will be increased from 55,50 dinars to 58,68 dinars per square meter. Thus, the bill for heating a 50-square-meter apartment will be around 6600 dinars.
In Niš, the price of heating per square meter increased from 37,38 to 42,74 dinars per month.
In May, the addresses of the citizens of Belgrade in different parts of the city received notices that in the future they will pay for heating according to consumption, and not according to the heated area.
Thus, about 85,000 apartments in Belgrade will be charged for heating according to consumption, and individual housing associations are responsible for installing adequate equipment for such a billing system.
