Mayor, what kind of smoke is rising over your city?

On Tuesday, the Zrenjanin opposition asked the mayor of Zrenjanin, Simo Salapura, what kind of smoke was rising over Zrenjanin and what was the smell in the city for the second day. He was asked the same thing by his colleagues from the Zrenjaninski.com portal. Neither of them received an answer.

Councilors of the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina - Vojvođani and Zrenjanin against violence - Biramo Zrenjanin say that the municipal police did not have a precise answer, except that the determination of the cause of the smoke is ongoing.

Citizens indicate that the cause of the smoke is the landfill at the exit to Novi Sad, but they have received neither confirmation nor denials. Nor do they notice that anyone is investigating it.

And the smoke doesn't reduce for the second day.

"The mayor's job is not to show off on Facebook, but to solve citizens' problems and to make sure that citizens are informed in a timely manner about all important events, especially those that can affect their health and well-being. Since it is clear that you are incapable, Mayor Salapur, it is best to resign," said Salapuri from the Democratic Party, the National Movement of Serbia, Center Serbia, the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina - Vojvodina and the Movement of Free Citizens.

Also, it is impossible to get information about the Water Factory, the opening of which was announced for March 21, as part of the opening ceremony of the Capital of Culture year in this city. It was mentioned that President Vučić would also attend the opening, but nothing happened.

Only today, April 22, in the afternoon, it was announced that the water purification plant will take over the city's water supply from 19 p.m. and begin continuous trial work.
