The citizens of Serbia protested on Tuesday evening because they are activists Serbian Progressive Party attacked the previous day student on the plateau near the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad and said that they do not agree to "beating violence".

In Belgrade, the streets near the First Basic Court were blocked New Belgrade and the Birčaninova and Knez Miloš intersections.
The intersection of Birčaninova and Kneza Miloša streets near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was also blocked, as was the Nikola Tesla Boulevard in New Belgrade in both directions.
Those gathered in Nikola Tesla Boulevard went on a protest walk towards the Palace of Serbia, while at the rally in Knez Miloš, with whistles and vuvuzelas, shouts of "he who does not jump is parents".
Strong police forces in equipment to break up demonstrations were deployed near the park opposite the First Basic Court, where earlier on Tuesday there were incidents when citizens opposed the construction of an aquarium in that part of the park, opposite the plot where the "Yugoslavia" hotel was recently demolished.

At the Ušće park, at one point there was a rush of citizens and police in equipment to break up demonstrations.
At one point, the citizens ran towards the park, where the part where the aquarium should be built is fenced off, but the police cordon sent them back.
At the invitation of the Valjevo Citizens' Assembly, students and pupils, hundreds of people from Valjevo gathered in front of the Valjevo Gymnasium as a sign of support for the attacked Novi Sad students.
They said that Valjevo stands with Novi sad and that Valjevo does not remain silent, as well as that violence must not be the answer to any attitude or different opinion.
After gathering in front of the gymnasium, they went to the premises of the Serbian Progressive Party, where they left messages "FCK SNS" at the entrance.
The police protected the beaters.
Niš at the invitation of the Citizens' Assembly of Niš, they organized a protest in front of the Basic Court, and then a protest walk to the premises of the Movement for the People and the State.
Mila Đokić, representative of the Citizens' Assemblies of Niš, said at the gathering that what happened in Novi Sad on Monday was terrible.
"The police did not protect the students at any time, did not stand by the citizens at any time, but protected the thugs and criminals and allowed the students to be attacked and their phones stolen," Đokić told reporters.
Đokić pointed out that the citizens' choirs of Niš provide support to students and citizens in Novi Sad.
"We will always be against attacks of any kind, whether by the police or by thugs," Đokić said.
She invited the citizens of Niš to go out into the street and stand with their children.
"Students are the future, we are here for them and for us, for all the people in Serbia," Đokić said.
Protest participants chanted "your hands are bloody" and "pump, pump" in front of the premises of the Movement for the People and the State.
