Application for online shopping The topic is only a few months into this year Serbia has become a kind of phenomenon that amazes with its persistence to convince you to order something you may never need, and at very reasonable prices.
Thanks to an aggressive campaign (some cynically noted that it appears on the screens of mobile devices more often than the President of the Republic), Temu has become an inseparable companion of everyone who uses the Internet in recent months.
Social media users probably know this best, as it's virtually impossible to avoid a Tema ad on them, and that irritation has until now only been compared to the reckless intrusions of two online food ordering services, Blue and Yellow, into personalized playlists on YouTube.
The theme is designed in such a way that it causes potential customers a certain amount of anxiety that they will miss the opportunity to order the goods during the time when there is a discount for those items, on the principle "you still have very little time left to buy these amazing products".
The result of this is extraordinary, because customers feel that it is very important to order something as soon as possible, as if their life depends on it. This also creates the impression of a kind of sports competition, because nothing is more logical than to think that you actually managed to "beat" the seller by being able to buy the product from him before the original price "returned".
Favorable prices and questionable quality
In addition to this completely irrational urgency, Temu has another trump card - really very affordable, not to mention low prices, which the competition can hardly match, especially because Temu also offers free shipping.
Of course, such low prices cannot but call into question the quality of the product you are buying, but also what the average white customer in Europe is of little interest to - the conditions in which those who made the products work.
For this second problem, which many do not see as a problem, there is probably no solution, but for the first problem, the solution may be to carefully read the declaration of the product you are ordering.
For example, for a garment of exactly the same design, size and purpose, two or more different prices can be found on the Temu platform, depending on whether the product is made of natural or artificial materials. So, if you don't care if you boil in a polyester T-shirt, choose the lower price and beat the cotton.
The topic is just a mediator.
However, even if the customer chooses the most expensive product available, it does not guarantee that he will receive the best quality goods, because Temu is only an intermediary between the manufacturer and the clients.
Therefore, it should not be surprising that some users of the Temu platform reported that they did not receive what they ordered, i.e. that the products in terms of quality, materials, and even appearance did not match what was shown in the ordering application. If it's any consolation, it will be enough for some people to realize that they shouldn't believe everything they see on the internet.
Many users have reported that the products they purchased through TEMU were below the expected standard, with issues such as poor workmanship, inappropriate materials, or products that do not match the description or images shown in the app.
Be careful with personal information.
Finally, but perhaps most importantly, Temu, like all Internet applications that use personal data, can be used for abuse, mainly in terms of privacy violations and cyber threats.
Since the customer is required to enter a credit card number and address, he may become a victim of hacking or unauthorized use of personal information.
