Farmers from Mrcajevac are blocking the old Čačak-Kraljevo road on Monday (February 16) from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., and from Wednesday they are announcing an all-day blockade.
Farmer Predrag Veljković told N1 that after five nights spent at the blockade, no one from the Government of Serbia responded to the farmers.
As a sign of support for dairy farmers and farmers from Mrcajevac, road blockades were announced for February 16 in Bogatić, Blac, Rača, Zavlaka-Krupanj, Slatina-Čačak, as well as in Smederevska Palanka and Ivanjica.
Farmers from Rača used tractors to block the main intersection at the very entrance to the place, reports FoNet.
Departure to Belgrade
Farmer Milan Milošević told N1 that the idea of farmers going to Belgrade is being born.
"Currently, there has never been greater unity. Cattle farmers and farmers have always been separated, but now they are all together. Support is in Vojvodina. People are tired of walking, blocking areas and harassing their fellow citizens, let's go to Belgrade," Milošević said.
What are the demands of farmers
Farmers announce radicalization, stressing that they will not withdraw until the demands are met.
Their demands are immediate control of milk imports and the introduction of levies, suspension of imports of milk, meat, fruits and vegetables, grains and all types of food produced in Serbia, as well as guaranteed purchase from domestic producers.
