The High Court in Belgrade decided on Wednesday that the engineer Zoran Djajica let him defend himself from freedom, rejecting the proposal of the Prosecutor's Office for high-tech crime to determine his detention for 48 hours, Radar has learned unofficially.
This was confirmed by Đajić's lawyer, Branko Rogošić, after the hearing in the High Court in Belgrade.
Đajić spent the previous night in custody, after he was taken into custody last night around 22 pm.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Đajić was arrested on reasonable suspicion that he had committed the crime of endangering security, i.e. due to a post on the X social network in which he mentioned Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and the death penalty.
"Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Directorate of Technology, Service for Combating High-Technological Crime, acting on the order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, Special Department for Combating High-Technological Crime, arrested Zoran Đajić (70) on reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of endangering security," the statement reads.
It is suspected that he, using the profile on the social network "X" under the name "djajiczoran", posted the following content on April 10:
"Answer to the disinformationists: My position is clear - the people should vote for the death penalty for Vučić - I wouldn't want it to happen that someone later releases him from the insane asylum and starts gathering Nazis and criminals around him again. Serbs have a short memory, so just in case - the Hawthorn stake will come!", according to the MUP statement.
By order of the competent prosecutor, the named person was detained for up to 48 hours, after which he will be brought to the competent prosecutor's office with a criminal report.
